SABIS® Educational Summer Camp - Bath, U.K.

Overview

The SABIS® Educational Summer Camp offers an exciting experience for students to board at Ashwicke Hall, which is set in the enchanting English countryside with easy access to London and other major attractions.

The Summer Camp is held in July and August, offering an academic program alongside sports, cultural visits, activities, and trips. There is a two-week or a four-week program and it is open to SABIS® and non-SABIS® students who will be entering Grade 6 and above in the academic year 2024-2025.

Boarding Facilities

Our campers will enjoy comfortable and high-quality accommodation and amenities throughout their stay. Girls and boys will be housed in separate and supervised dormitories in different buildings on campus. Campers will be provided with three healthy and well-balanced meals daily in the dining hall.

Academic Enrichment

The academic program is scheduled to run from 8:45 a.m. to 1:15 p.m., Monday through Friday. All academic work will be completed during these hours and no additional homework will be assigned outside these hours, with the exception of cases with prior arrangements.

The academic agenda includes the following course at all levels: 

  • English
  • French
  • Arabic
  • Mathematics
  • SAT courses
  • Some enrichment courses including physics, chemistry, economics, and biology

In addition to the regular courses listed, the camp also offers remedial work in many of the courses for those who may need it. 

Public Speaking, Film Making, Marketing, and Steam Courses

These courses are offered for a limited number of campers. Each course will run for four sessions with a duration of 120 minutes each and are available only during the 4-week program.

Activities

During the afternoon, campers choose from a wide range of on-campus activities, which include: clubs, sports, and art. Campers will also join planned trips to events and locations of interest such as museums, safari parks, historical sites, and shopping sites, as well as adventurous activities such as canoeing, raft building, high ropes course, archery, shooting, and tree abseiling. Furthermore, campers may enroll in private lessons such as music, tennis, or off-campus horseback riding (these activities entail additional costs). Campers will also be invited to attend the popular and entertaining Friday BBQ events.

Weekends

Weekend excursions will include visits to Britain’s historical and culturally significant attractions including but not limited to Buckingham Palace, Windsor Castle, London Eye, and the Natural History Museum (London).

Security

The gates are manned by professional gatemen and the camp grounds are monitored by security guards 24 hours a day.

Certificates

At the end of the camp, a certificate of attendance will be awarded to campers who have attended and completed the public speaking, film making, and marketing courses.

Campers with outstanding achievement and sportsmanship in our sports competitions will also receive a special certificate.

A letter of participation in our camp will be available upon request to present to universities and colleges.
